About Khosa
In 2020, the Khosa Rugby Club was established with a focus on developing basic and advanced rugby skills. The club caters to junior rugby players from u/6 to u/13 and has recently expanded to include u/14 and u/15 players. Khosa Rugby Club is affiliated with the Gauteng Lions Rugby Union and boasts four Lions union head coaches who cover a range of coaching techniques from basic to high performance. Additional coaches, who are all Boksmart accredited (L1 & L2), are also available for each age group. The coaching program covers all facets of the game, with the aim of developing each individual player's skills and preparing them for league matches that take place from July to September each year. The club places great emphasis on skills coaching, which is maintained throughout the rugby season from March to October. Khosa Rugby Club has an impressive track record, with many of its players having been drafted into regional and provincial teams.

Mission
Our objective is to develop the love of rugby in all communities, races and cultures. We strive to develop motor-skills, safety techniques as well as life skills, which forms the base for all sportsmen and women. Our primary goal is the comprehensive development of the learner within the sport environment. We encourage camaraderie amongst the players as this is one of the most influential and significant assets of team sport and particularly rugby
Advantages
The sports program offered by this organization aims to provide development in physical fitness, strength, and coordination for children aged 6-16. Rugby skills and techniques are introduced from an early age, with an emphasis on ethical and moral development through learning and play. The program also focuses on improving rugby concentration and evaluation, while enhancing social skills such as sportsmanship and cooperation. Through participation in the program, children develop a healthy sense of competition and motivation. Furthermore, being part of a sports program can establish and maintain a healthy level of self-esteem and self-worth. The organization also teaches the benefits of teamwork and how to plan and work towards a common goal in order to achieve success.
Facilities
Krugersdorp High School hosts us and provides all necessary supportive training equipment such as tackle bags, scrum machine, and driving bags. However, other training equipment such as balls, cones, and markers are supplied by the club. Results, photos, and videos are regularly updated on the club's Facebook page and on this website. The club aims to instill the assets of team sports, particularly rugby, by providing a platform for individuals to develop their skills and promote camaraderie among teammates.
